Dobson, NC – June, 2013 Piedmont Telephone presented a check for $500 to the Foothills Food Pantry, the largest food distribution agency in Piedmont County. The food pantry, which has been in operation for 21 years, offers food services to any family in Piedmont County who is food insecure. The funds for the donation were raised through the sale of cookbooks that were created to support the theme of Piedmont’s annual meeting “The Basic Ingredients – Technology, Customer Service and Innovation”.
“The Foothills Food Pantry provides a vital service to our community. The funds raised through the sale of our remaining cookbooks was a natural tie and we are grateful to be able to assist an organization that is committed to the families in our community ,” stated Melanie Senter, Marketing Manager Piedmont Telephone.
The Piedmont Telephone Annual Membership meeting is a an informational meeting for members on the state of the telephone cooperative. During the meeting “The Basic Ingredients – Technology, Customer Service and Innovation”, members received giveaways including measuring spoons, oven mitts and the cookbook.
